Almost no archival photography exists from David Catlin’s production of Steven Berkoff’s WEST that we mounted in July of 1991 at the Theatre Building on Belmont, so we’re including some photography of 1960’s East London garb donned by gangsters and young women at the time for inspiration.
Mike was the leader of the gang and Sylv his girlfriend in the tragicomedy, so feel free to come as a couple — or one of the none-too-sharp misfits in the entourage.
